Mid-Century Modern Interior Design – Follow our project
We are fortunate to be working very fun couple that recently purchased a 1949 home, full of originality and even full of the original homeowners furniture that was left inside it. The lighting, tile, terrazzo floors, plumbing fixtures and even the St Charles steel cabinets in the Kitchen were still in tact. A one owner home, full of charm – yet needing to be updated with current color palettes that complimented the home more than the original pink tile counter tops and terracotta cabinet combination. Today marked the day that cabinets were being installed. They had been sent to the body shop, literally, for dent repair, minor Bondo and fresh paint. We selected a new green color for the Kitchen that will look amazing with the the new hardwood floors and remaining original finishes in the home, and we kept the iconic terracotta color for the mudroom downstairs. The mudroom will also receive new flooring now that the base cabinets are installed. Take a peak at the beginning of the install and check back soon for additional behind the scenes images!
