Tuesday Trends: Moody Blues
As we found out here, one of the biggest design trends for 2015 is blue. As one of my personal favorite colors, I am definitely happy about blue making a “comeback”. I love that designers are willing to push the envelope a bit and incorporate various shades of blue into their spaces, especially deep navy and indigo. Here are some of my favorites:
The navy shade in this kitchen is certainly unexpected, but by incorporating the navy, yellow & light blue encaustic tile as a focal point, the whole room ties together.
One of my favorite color schemes is navy is green. Proving that unexpected pops of green can have serious impact, this space also has a fair amount of white to create balance and airiness.
I just love this kitchen! The mainly white space is spiced up by the addition of a blue-grey island, proving that a little blue goes a long way.
A dark indigo piece on one side of this living room is balanced by indigo and ochre accents on the other side.
Doesn’t this bedroom just make you want to relax? I love the navy shams & blanket on the mainly white bedding.
