Settle in and take a trip down memory lane with us!

Lakeside For the Win!

2024 marked the culmination of our Burnsville, MN Lakeside whole home remodel, a truly transformative project. The project took home two prestigious Contractor of the Year awards given out by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).

• National Award Winner – Residential Kitchen Over $200K

• Regional Award Winner – Residential Addition Under $250K

Every square inch of this gorgeously appointed lakeside classic home was remodeled or refreshed. A coastal design aesthetic of crisp whites and warm neutrals greets you, along with the warmth of French white oak flooring. In the kitchen, an expansive 10×5-foot island with seating is oriented to the lake, while a 22×14-foot great room addition completes the main floor.

Having been showcased in several local home tours over the past few years, the home was open to the public one last time on the Midwest Homes Luxury Home Tour in July.

Lower-Level Remodel Regional Recognition

This Eden Prairie, MN lower-level remodel, dubbed Tailored Boho, also received a Regional Contractor of the Year Award in the Lower Level $100K – $250K category from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).

When previous clients decided to finish their lower level, they asked us to incorporate the vision and style we had established in the rest of their home. A stunning wet bar anchors the entertainment area featuring ceiling-mounted metal and glass shelving and a beverage center set in a striking arched alcove. The comfortable seating area is framed by a substantial charcoal-painted built-in loaded with storage. This setting oozes hospitality with a contemporary boho-inspired vibe.

Award-Winning Kitchen and Main Floor – The Gathering Space

This beautifully appointed Burnsville, MN kitchen remodel received Silver honors from NARI Minnesota in the Residential Kitchen Over $200K category. The project is part of an entire main floor remodel for a recently retired couple who love to cook and entertain together.

A birch island with a waterfall Cambria quartz countertop sits center stage in the kitchen. Hidden from the hustle and bustle, an incredible pantry space is tucked just off of the kitchen. It features open shelving, ample counterspace and boasts windows that bring in fantastic light – unheard of in a pantry!

The project expands beyond the kitchen, touching nearly every part of the main floor. Upon entering, guests see a spectacular staircase with wood treads and risers, metal spindles and new railings. Moving inside, the dining room shines with a sparkling transom window incorporated into a paneled feature wall.

The project was also part of the Parade of Homes Fall Remodelers Showcase, an event that is always a highlight for us.

The opportunity to showcase our work while meeting homeowners and answering their questions is something we look forward to.

Primary Bathroom Universal Design Award Winner

This September, Qualified Remodeler Master Design Awards recognized our Inver Grove Heights, MN Everyday Ease universal design primary bathroom remodel with a Silver Award in the Universal Design category.

With an eye toward accessibility, this bathroom is designed to ease the everyday routines of a homeowner who often uses a wheelchair. Universal design strategies guided the project structurally, with ADA-compatible elements incorporated throughout. Doorway openings are wider at 36” and pocket doors replace swinging doors. One side of the vanity is set lower and left intentionally open underneath to accommodate the wheelchair when needed. An expansive shower with a curbless transition replaces a large corner tub allowing our homeowner easier movement throughout the space. Grab bars add a safety net and are placed purposefully around the room.

New Projects!

Primary Bathroom Decadence – Restful Retreat

Our new project reveals started with this gloriously restyled Eagan, MN primary bathroom remodel which offers parents of four busy kiddos an oasis of their very own. The layout features a freestanding soaking tub nestled in the corner adjacent to the expanded shower, finished in classic subway wall tile and playful penny rounds. An angled wall in the previous vanity area was removed to accommodate a custom counter-height vanity set on two walls. It has ample storage and plenty of room for ‘his and hers.’ Completing the scene, bright, lively whites contrast against walls with a hint of blue and nickel fixtures.

Stunning Primary Bedroom Project – The Luxury Boutique

This summer, we leaned into the phrase ‘sleep in heavenly peace’ with the completion of this amazing Lake Elmo, MN primary bedroom remodel. Intentionally carrying an air of moodiness, this owner’s suite bedroom is exceptionally balanced with luxurious detail and custom furnishings.  The design captures the essence of a dream boutique hotel longed for by our homeowners.

The room is dramatic, with touches of gold lighting sparkling against a deep Urbane Bronze paint, which finishes the incredible double-layer wainscotting trim on opposing ends of the room, as well as the tray ceiling – spectacular! A sand-toned drapery flows across the entire wall of windows, softening the space and perfectly complementing the dark tones in the room.

New Team Members

And last, but certainly not least, we were tickled to welcome two new special people to the Che Bella team this year. Ryan Schwertman joined the team as an Assistant Project Manager, working behind the scenes with our designers, vendors, and trade partners on behalf of our clients. And sweet Jules Golden, daughter of Senior Designer Stef Cohoe, entered the world in 2024 and is now undeniably our most adorable team member. Welcome, you two!
