Designer Favs: 2025 Colors Of The Year

Curious about what colors those in the design world anticipate seeing in homes next year? The waiting game is over as the Che Bella Interiors design team takes a closer look at next year’s colors of the year as decided by industry brands. They unveil the collection of colors that they’re most drawn to and show you how to use them. Take note as there are numerous ways for you to bring these inspiring hues into your home in the coming year!

Shhhhhh – Color is Coming!

HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams crowned Quietude its Color for the Year for 2025 and the team agrees. Described as a cool minty shade that allows for tranquility, it gives each space a calm and spa-like feel. The soft blue-green hues Quietude give a room to create a calm setting. This color can be used anywhere, whether on a wall, as a door accent color or even on cabinets in a bathroom. It pairs very well with other colors which is what will make it a popular choice in the year ahead.

Shown below, the wall carries the primary color while everything else in the room gives off a lighter feel, allowing Quietude to pop in the space.

Design note: Quietude is complemented with the Sherwin Williams collection that includes Snowbound, Convivial Yellow, Spider, Nomadic Desert, Stucco, Delft, Rocky River, Sequin, and Nutshell.

In a Nutshell

The team wants to highlight one more shade from the HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams Collection – Nutshell. This color pairs intentionally well with other colors from the collection, including Quietude, and has an interesting hue. It carries a little bit of brown and gray with a purple undertone and gives off a cozy, but moody aesthetic. Nutshell is a fantastic choice for small rooms accented with pops of color or for a dining room accent wall or office.

We turn toward industry player Benjamin Moore for the next stunning Color of the Year – Cinnamon Slate. It gives off a velvety brown and plum hue – simply yummy!

Intense Color Closes the Collection

The team agreed that this year’s color review wouldn’t be complete without Clove from the Sherwin Williams 2025 Color Capsule. Clove is described as having a dark richness with a warm brown hint.  It creates an intense effect in a room and leans toward elegant. Picture this color in a bar setting or even in a commercial environment on an accent wall or run of cabinetry.
