Reposition Furniture
Add a fresh look to any space by relocating the furniture. In the living room, move accent chairs to where the sofa currently sits and vice versa. This will give you a whole new perspective on the room. While you’re in a rearranging mood, change the angle of an area rug. You’ll be surprised at the difference it makes.
Update Your Bedroom
The change of season is a phenomenal excuse to freshen up your bedroom. New bedding made from lightweight cotton or linen nearly guarantees a good night’s rest. Choose lighter colors, florals, and stripes to pay homage to springtime. Don’t forget to add pops of color to side tables in a spring-appropriate hue and add new throw pillows into the mix.
Add Greenery Indoors and Out
Plants are purveyors of goodness that are aesthetically appealing. Try this trick. Separate a bundle of tulips or daffodils and place them into individual bud vases to expand their visual presence. Place fresh plants and flowers around the kitchen to add a natural touch. Outside, dress up outdoor entertaining spaces with potted plants on dining or accent tables. If large enough, bring in potted greenery to frame your outdoor space.
Hang Wallpaper
Love the idea of wallpaper, but are apprehensive to paper a whole room? You’re not alone. Wallpaper is back and in such fun ways. Dress up the back of a bookcase with your favorite graphic floral print or tackle an accent wall in a guest bath. You can even put wallpaper on the ceiling. Who knew! The beauty of wallpaper today is that there are so many removable adhesive options. This means that you can love it for a couple of seasons and then send it on its way.
