Innovation in Bloom on a Snowy Winter Day!
This morning, Calie and I attended Innovation in Bloom, at the Cambria showroom in downtown Minneapolis. We braved the snowy drive into the city from our studio in Burnsville and our adventure drive was more than worth it. The event is part of Midwest Home Design Week, a week long event showcasing design in the Twin Cities. Check out their calendar of events for the week-long schedule. It was my first visit to the Cambria gallery downtown, and it didn’t disappoint. There are some really cool installations of Cambria- some of my favorites include a kitchen with one of their new edge profiles- the Bryn, a gorgeously understated reverse waterfall, and both the women’s and men’s bathroom. Yes, you need to actually go into the men’s bathroom and look at their Cambria if you are ever there (just be sure to knock first!). We also got to see the unveiling of Galloway, from Cambria’s new Coastal Collection. The event featured 2 floral designers from Bachman’s who showed us what was new in potted gardens and also led a demonstration where we moss wrapped our own orchids that we got to keep. It was catered by Kowalski’s and wonderful event on such a snowy day here in Minnesota. I am officially ready for spring!
