The Edina Project-Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
When tearing down the existing house on their lot, Jim & Jan wanted to keep as much as possible out of landfills. By selling off much of the old house on Craig’s List prior to demolition, they were able to accomplish this goal. They reduced the impact their new construction would have on the environment and provided recycled building products/materials to others at reasonable costs.
Who knew that so many items would be of interest to others – a few examples of what sold from the house that they tore down were: countertops, tile, cabinets, light fixtures, appliances, wood, windows, doors, flooring and much more! After it was all said and done, pretty much the only thing that was left of the house was the shell. Jim & Jan joke that they are now Craig’s List selling experts, and we agree!
